The VFR stands for Veterans and First Responders - a direct message to those who we serve.
But to all of us in the organization it is so much more. Our name is an expression of our awe in:

The Respect they embody - and that we proudly send back in their direction.
Our mission is to create a place where these individuals can recover, relax and rejuvenate - this is how the idea for The VFR Homefront Campus was born. This campus will provide first responders - primarily Police, Fire, Military, Veterans - and their families with unique experiences in the natural environment to help them thrive as individuals and as a part of their communities.
The VFR Homefront will offer service families the opportunity to experience best-in-class programming and therapeutic interventions that help families to stay connected, process trauma, and promote healing and well-being. We will maintain a dedicated focus on mental health services and support such as mental health evaluations, therapy, counseling to address depression/ anxiety, PTSD & much more.

Directly following the 9/11 attack on our nation, the first soldiers to enter Afghanistan, on horseback, were the ODA 595 Special Forces Group. Their historic and unconventional warfare experience earned them the moniker, “The Horse Soldiers” and has been brought to life in the declassified true story Hollywood film, “12 Strong”.
Fast forward 15 years and the American Freedom Distillery and Horse Soldier Bourbon were started. Forged in fire, every bottle of Horse Soldier bourbon is molded by steel from the rubble of the World Trade Center. Authentic, All-American and Award Winning, these bottles are a part of American history and will be specially autographed by Scott Neil, former Green Beret and Co-founder of Horse Soldier Bourbon - join us as we kick off our 2nd annual VFR golf outing September 8th, 2023.
